Private by default

Your birth data is personal. We treat it that way.

Shared Sky does not create public profiles, sell chart data, run targeted advertising, or index private reports.

The short versionBirth data is only ever entered inside your own account. Profiles, charts, and reports remain private to your account and invited people.

What happens to your details

You enter local birth details

Nickname, date, time accuracy, and birthplace. A legal name is not required.

We normalize the calculation

The calculation service receives UTC and coordinates — not your name or account identity.

You decide whether to save

Your work is saved to your account from the moment it is created. It stays private and can be exported or deleted at any time.

Another adult's chart

An invitation is preferred. If you enter details directly, you must confirm current permission and the report stays limited to your relationship.

Children's data

Anyone under 18 may have a private natal-chart profile created and managed by their parent or legal guardian after an explicit guardian attestation. People under 18 cannot own saved-profile accounts.

  • Child reports address the responsible adult and never label the child.
  • Romantic and adult themes are excluded.
  • Bearer-link sharing is unavailable for reports involving a minor.
  • Chart data is never used for child marketing.

Generated report prose

The prose layer receives pseudonymous chart geometry and approved content blocks. It does not receive names, exact birth details, exact places, email, or account identifiers.

Payments

Stripe processes payments. Card details never reach Shared Sky, and no birth data, chart, or report prose is sent to the payment processor. We keep the Stripe reference, amount, and status so a purchase can be shown to you and refunded. Deleting your account removes your identity from that record while the purchase itself is retained for the published financial-records period.

Control stays with you

Export your data, revoke invitations and shares, delete a person and their derived work, or delete your account. Backup expiry follows the published policy schedule.
